Finished in Pearl Black metallic the bodywork is in beautiful condition throughout. The paintwork has a lovely deep gloss shine, the panels are super straight and panel gaps excellent. No dents, scratches, rust or scrapes. Only the merest of age commensurate marks. You would have a real struggle to find a nicer example.
The car is fitted with later Clio 182 alloy wheels in anthracite grey metallic. They are in fabulous condition with no marks or kerbing and shod with very good tyres. They really give the car a purposeful look. A nice subtle upgrade.
The interior is in a similarly fantastic condition. The alcantara suede seats, embroidered with 'Renault Sport'logos show virtually no wear, nor do the carpets or trim. The specification includes, electric front windows, CD player/radio with steering wheel controls, air con, auto lights, auto wipers, remote mirror adjust, folding rear seats, ESP etc. 'Renault Sport' detailing, a sports steering wheel and silver carbon trim really give the interior a classic sporty feel and everything still works as Renault intended.
On the road the Clio performs superbly. The 2.0 16v engine is economical to run and has plenty of power. Coupled with the 5 speed gearbox and a fabulous chassis set up, the car is immense fun to drive, particularly on a twisty 'B' road or maybe even a track day if you were so inclined? A dual exit Powerflow exhaust has been fitted (the only departure from standard) and gives a sporty look and a really nice tone, without being loud. Under the bonnet, the condition is in keeping with the rest of the vehicle and presents very well. The engine has been well maintained, with receipts in the history for recent belts, water pump and dephaser pulley.
In conclusion, probably one of the best Clio 172 available for sale today. A superb little hot hatch that is sure to be a future classic. Low mileage, low owners, very good history and service record and in beautiful condition. The car will be supplied with a new MOT, a fresh oil service, and a full valet. There are 2 keys with the car as well as the original wallet pack and spare wheel/toolkit/jack.
